The word Bathukamma means “Mother Goddess\, come alive\,” reflecting prayers for prosperity\, happiness\, and well-being. \nCelebrated during the months of September and October\, Bathukamma lasts for nine days and culminates on Saddula Bathukamma\, the grand finale. Women arrange colorful seasonal flowers in a unique conical shape\, gather in groups\, sing traditional folk songs\, dance around the floral arrangement\, and offer prayers to Goddess Gauri.
