The intense demonstration, which marked several consecutive days of localized agitations against the state government, brought regional vehicular movement to a grinding halt. Major traffic lines quickly backed up on both sides of the corridor, stalling commuters traveling toward major destinations like Srisailam, Achampet, Mahabubnagar, and Hyderabad.
The protesting agriculturalists voiced deep anger over a series of technical and logistical inefficiencies plaguing the local market yards. A primary grievance centered around the biometric verification process; farmers reported that marketing officials were refusing or severely delaying the scanning of their fingerprints after dropping off their yields. Without this mandatory digital confirmation, the procurement exercise could not be officially recorded as complete, leaving the vulnerable farmers stuck in a bureaucratic limbo and unable to process their payments.
Compounding this structural bottleneck was a severe shortage of transport machinery to clear the yards. Farmers alleged that local purchasing authorities intentionally delayed moving the collected grain bags to regional godowns by citing a persistent deficit of available trucks. This forced delay pushed an unfair financial burden onto the farmers, who were left with no choice but to pay accumulating, expensive overnight wait fees to the private tractor and auto-trolley drivers they had hired to haul their harvests to the center.
